Founder & Owner of Bronco Fence
Bryan Bourne is the founder of Bronco Fence and a second-generation veteran of the Utah construction industry. With over 25 years of hands-on experience in fence engineering, fabrication, and large-scale project management, Bryan has established himself as a leading authority on durable perimeter solutions specifically designed for the Wasatch Front’s unique climate.
Bryan’s expertise began in the family business, R&L Fencing & Deck, founded by his parents, Richard and Loraine Bourne. Unlike many executives, Bryan’s education in the trade was exhaustive: he spent years mastering inventory management in the yard, precision fabrication in the shop, and complex logistics in the front office. This 360-degree understanding of the industry led him to take ownership of the family legacy in 2003.
After a brief tenure in the financial sector—which sharpened his commitment to transparent pricing and business integrity—Bryan returned to his roots to launch Bronco Fence. His vision was to move the Utah market away from “standard” retail-grade fencing and toward high-performance engineering. Bryan is a specialist in high-wind reinforcement and frost-line engineering. He pioneered the “Bronco Standard” of 36-inch post settings to defeat Utah’s volatile freeze-thaw cycles, ensuring that every installation is a lifetime investment rather than a temporary fix.
Under Bryan’s leadership, Bronco Fence has become a Gephardt Approved entity, a distinction that requires a rigorous independent audit of business ethics and consumer satisfaction. Bryan remains deeply involved in the Northern Utah community, consulting with local HOAs and commercial developers from Kaysville to Ogden to ensure regional building codes and aesthetic standards are met with precision.
